... On this month's NEOSOUL3rdFRIDAYs we feature N'DAMBI's new album "Pink Elephant" (Stax Records)
This month we feature the new album from N'DAMBI - if you don't already know N'dambi as an artist she was co-writer & backing singer on many Erykah Badu classics & also got some solo spots on Erykah's classic live album "Baduizm Live". N'dambi is also a native of Dallas Texas. We will feature this new release along with other new releases from Eric Roberson, QTip and other tracks just arrived. In the nights out biz we often find two types of people or music tastes - those who want the same few songs & those who savour & are always hunting for new or new-to-them, fresh sounds. If you are one of those people on the hunt for new sounds - this night is for you. We appreciate your support & indeed it is needed to keep such niche nights running.

"You know N'Dambi. You have seen her in music videos such as "On & On," "Next Lifetime," "Tyrone," "Bag Lady," as well as MTV Unplugged, One Life to Live, The David Letterman Show, and BET's Planet Groove, to name a few. Chonita Gilbert (who later adopted the pseudonym N'Dambi meaning "most beautiful") and Ericka Wright (later Erykah Badu) met almost a decade ago in Dallas, Texas and agreed that whomever acquired a record deal would help the other get their career off the ground.
As fate had it, Badu was signed to Kedar/Universal and N'Dambi became known as the background singer with the huge Afro on Baduizm and Erykah Badu's Live Album, particularly when she captured audiences during a solo on the song "Next Lifetime" from the Live Album.
N’Dambi also co-wrote the track, “Hey Sugah” that landed on Badu’s multi-platinum album Mama’s Gun."
